LICHEN is a seasonal publication exploring the intersections of creativity, identity, and the natural world.

Our first issue of LICHEN is a foray into the relationship between queer identity and creative practice through the lens of lichen. Issue 00 features an introduction to lichen as a medium, gathered poetry and prose, and an interview with queer ceramicist HB Hadfield on the importance of queer spaces.

Each issue is 8.5x5.5”, 26 pages, and printed locally in Salt Lake City on FSC® Certified paper manufactured with 100% renewable energy using 100% post consumer recycled paper fibers.
